Duke Ellington is one of the most towering figures in the history of jazz, writing and composing his own sophisticated, swinging music and leading his own orchestra for over fifty years. The music Ellington and Strayhorn composed is an integral part of the Great American Songbook and forms the backbone of jazz repertoire. Trumpeter Dan Miller built his reputation touring and recording with Harry Connick Jr., Wynton Marsalis, Maynard Ferguson and Woody Herman. He brings together a tremendous group of musicians for an evening of hard swinging acoustic jazz music including tenor saxophonist Lew Del Gatto (Saturday Night Live Band 1975-2005 & Frank Sinatra), the spectacular Orlando-based pianist Richard Drexler (Woody Herman & Jeff Berlin), bassist Brandon Robertson (Count Basie) and drummer Tony Vigilante (Ben Vereen).
