You are invited to join us in the Naples Art District for an afternoon of inspiring workshops that will help you find your inner artist. Choose from 4 different classes hosted by a group of Naples’ most celebrated artists, with topics ranging from acrylic painting to wax sculpting to visual communication. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, each workshop will cater to those attending. Class sizes are limited to 8 people, so reserve your spot today!

Susan Alexander Shipman

Susan Alexander Shipman is an award-winning painter who has studied with master painters throughout the country and whose work is in many corporate and individual collections throughout the world.

Today, one is totally oversaturated with millions of photo images while the human eye and heart see a great deal more than a camera. To paint from life, we need to slow down and look carefully at what is beautiful, lovely and uplifting.

Susan invites a limited number of individuals to participate in Alla Prima Painting, a meditative method of painting directly from life, which includes still life painting. This hands –on, individualized watercolor workshop will take place in her peaceful working art studio and gallery, surrounded by her paintings.

All experience levels welcome.

Michaela Castaldi

Michaela was born and raised in New Hampshire. She graduated from St. Mary High School and then attended the Ringling School of Art and the University of New Hampshire. She then married and moved to Rhode Island where I enrolled in the Rhode Island School of Design. She then subsequently joined forces with the A.T. Cross Pen and Pencil Company of Lincoln Rhode Island, where she designed corporate emblem logos that were attached to writing instruments.

After 40 years in Rhode Island, her husband and she moved to Naples Florida, where her previous painting hobby blossomed into a full-fledged career. Her love of vibrant Color and realistic design is reflected in her art. She loves to design, create, and ultimately paint. Carefully researching her project and then employing photography, sketches, and notes to guide her in the ultimate product.
